Black-necked stilts

The most darling birds you'll ever see! With petite features, this elegant and graceful shorebird has bright pink legs and, of course, a black neck. Easily identifiable in nature, they cooperatively forage with other shorebirds, waterbirds, waterfowl and more! What peaceful and helpful birds. I'm delighted and honored whenever our paths cross. I'm grateful and lucky to say that these wonderful beauties are residents to the Upper Gulf Coast.
