Herons

One of the first birds I ever had a photoshoot with was of a juvenile, Yellow-crowned Night Heron. I didn't know what I was doing, I truly just got lucky. Honestly, I didn't even know what bird species I was photographing in the field, and it took several hours afterwards to identify it online. And so, my love affair with them began.

Depending on the species, Herons can be found inland or beachside.
Our resident herons are the Black-crowned Night, Yellow-crowned Night, Great Blue, Tri-colored, Little Blue, and Green.

Next: Ibises
