Cormorants

Romantic. The first word that comes to mind when describing these amazingly intelligent waterbirds. They're also super gentle, sweet, dynamic, and elegant, but also highly misunderstood, oppressed, and exploited by Cormorant Fishermen for their amazing fishing abilities. 

In the Upper Texas Gulf Coast, Neotropic and Double-crested Cormorants are resident birds, they are free to fish independently, and they are absolutely magical to see in person!!
