plants, Grasses, blooms & dunes

Journeying stretches of shoreline on foot while taking photos of my coastal wildlife friends can be tiring. I often find a nice spot on the beach to rest, reset, and absorb. Slowing down shifts my visual and spiritual perspective, and a brand-new world unfolds. While photographing wildlife remains my passion, what lies on and over the dunes is equally important. Dunes provide habitats for highly specialized plants and animals, provides safety, shelter, food, breeding and resting places for many species, slows erosion and protects during storms. Also, it's really too pretty not to share.

Please enjoy an ever-growing collection of photos taken of native grasses, plants, blooms, dunes and coastline while I was in a restful space. May it heal you and bring you as much joy and rest as it brought me.
